The Misty Meadows Farmstay
Life here isn't staged, it unfolds.
Welcome to Misty Meadows Farmstay
On any given day you might hear children riding bicycles along the farm roads, someone baking bread in the kitchen, a game of soccer on the field, birds calling from the forest, or neighbours stopping to share eggs, seedlings or conversation. Some days are beautifully peaceful. Others are busy, muddy and gloriously ordinary. Like any real home, it has seasons.
The cottage itself has been gathered together in much the same way the farm has grown: slowly, thoughtfully and with care. Much of what you’ll find here has come from our own homes and gardens. Some furniture has lived many lives before arriving here. A favourite chair may carry the marks of years of use. A slipcover may have been carefully patched rather than replaced. Fresh flowers might come from the garden that morning. The bread on your table may have been baked in the Wellspring kitchen the day before.
We have discovered that comfort doesn’t always come from everything being new.
Sometimes it comes from sensing that the things around you have been cared for.
Over time we have come to think of the farm not as something that has been finished, but as something that is continually being tended. Gardens are planted. Gates are repaired. Bread is baked. Trees are pruned. Children grow up. Ideas evolve. Friendships deepen. The cottage is simply another expression of that ongoing rhythm of care.
If you leave feeling rested, we will be delighted.
If you leave with muddy shoes, having eaten well, slept deeply, watched the mist lift across the fields, or found yourself lingering over a cup of coffee a little longer than usual, then perhaps you’ve experienced something of what this place offers.
Not perfection.
Simply a place where care is ongoing, and where, for a little while, you are warmly invited to become part of it.
